Sleep paralysis: causes and treatment
Sleep paralysis is a feeling of being conscious but unable to move. It occurs when a person passes between stages of wakefulness and sleep. During these transitions, you may be unable to move or speak for a few second to a few minutes.
According to a study in 2011 by Pennsylvania State University, 7.6 percent of the general population has problems with sleep paralysis. people with mental disorders such as anxiety and depression are more likely to experience sleep paralysis.
Less than 8 persons of the general population experience sleep paralysis, but it is more frequent in two group- students ans psychiatric patients- according to a new study by psychologist at Penn State and the University of Pennsylvania.
It's not always caused because of the psychological problem i.e depression and anxiety, it may be due to disturbances in biological clock of any person.
if it happens 3 to 4 times, it does not cause serious problem, but when you experience it regularly it must have some psychological problem.
Is it bad to have sleep paralysis?

CAUSES:
During rapid eye movement (REM) sleep the brain has vivid dreams, while the muscles of the body are essentially turned off. While sleeping, the muscles are unable to move so that the person won't be able to act out dreams with their body. - You should sleep at 10 o'clock before 12am to get proper cycle of your deep sleep.
- Use antidepressant medication to help regulate sleep cycle.
- Treat any mental health problems that may contribute to sleep paralysis.
- Treat any other sleep disorders, such as narcolepsy or leg cramps.
